When will my membership renew?
M1 Plus is an annual or monthly membership.
You can find your M1 Plus membership details, including your sign-up and renewal dates, on your Membership Details page.
You will also receive in-app and email reminders prior to your renewal date:
- 30 days prior for annual memberships
- 7 days prior for monthly memberships
Will my membership renew automatically?
M1 Plus Memberships renew automatically with your selected default payment method if Auto-renew is turned on.
If you don't have a default payment method selected and have auto-renew is on, an eligible M1 Savings or Invest Account** meeting the minimum balance thresholds will be charged for your Plus renewal.
If you don’t want your M1 Plus membership to renew automatically, you can turn auto-renew off at any time from your Membership Details page.
Keep in mind if you don't renew your M1 Plus membership, your Plus Perks will expire one year or one month after you signed up for M1 Plus.
How can I make sure my Plus membership renews?
Navigate to your Membership Details page and make sure:
- You have a valid default payment method selected
- Auto-renew is toggled on
You will receive payment confirmation within one business day of your renewal date and can continue optimizing your finances with M1 Plus.
What payment methods can I use for my M1 Plus renewal fee?
- Your M1 High-Yield Savings Account
- An M1 Individual or Joint Brokerage Account (M1 Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, Custodial Account, and Trust Account not eligible)
Note: You are not able to designate a particular default Individual/Joint Brokerage Account to bill. If you have multiple eligible Individual/Joint Brokerage Accounts, the actual Individual/Joint Brokerage account being charged on renewal day may vary depending on the cash balance and/or the total account value at the time of charge.
My M1 Plus payment failed/declined.
If you failed to add a payment method, M1 will collect the membership fee from any cash balance available in your M1 account(s). You can learn more in our article on M1 Plus Billing.
I didn't realize my auto-renew was turned on.
You may request to cancel your annual M1 Plus Membership within thirty (30) days of your initial membership payment for a full refund of your Membership Fee by contacting us. Any request received after thirty (30) days will not be refunded.
If you are on a monthly M1 Plus membership, you may request to cancel within three (3) days of your initial membership payment for a full refund by contacting us. Any request received after three (3) days will not be refunded.
