How M1 handles my personal data
Updated over a week ago

All data transferred and stored within our system is protected with military-grade 4096-bit encryption. You can read more about our security and insurance here.

What does M1 Finance do with my personal information?

Your personal information is encrypted in transit (between your computer and M1) and at rest (on the servers at M1). Your personal information has restricted access and is only used for the purpose of protecting your account and verifying your account information.

Does M1 store my banking information?

M1 does not store your bank credentials.

When you establish the connection to your bank, we are given a token (electronic key) to access your account. Tokens are considered highly secure and effective.
