Finding stock information on M1
You can view all key information relating to a stock by navigating to the Research tab on the M1 app or web. The Research tab provides comprehensive data to help inform your investment decisions.
How to navigate to the Research tab
Navigate to the Research tab here or follow the instructions below:
Web:
Log in to your M1 account
Click on "Research" in the main navigation menu at the left of the screen
Use the search bar to find specific stocks by name or ticker symbol
Mobile:
Open the M1 Finance app and log in
Tap the Invest icon in the bottom navigation
Tap the top left navigation bar
Select "Research" from the available options and the research type you’d like to conduct.
Use the search function to find your desired stock
Available stock information
From the Research tab, you can see the following information about a selected stock:
Performance data
Past performance charts (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and 5-year views)
Price movement percentages across various timeframes
Interactive charts allowing you to track historical price movements
Key financial metrics
Current price: The most recent trading price of the stock
Market cap: The total dollar value of all outstanding shares (company size)
P/E ratio: Price-to-earnings ratio, showing how much investors pay relative to earnings
EPS: Earnings per share, representing the company's profit allocated to each share
Price to sales: Ratio comparing stock price to revenue per share
Dividend yield: Annual dividend payments as a percentage of share price
Beta: Measure of volatility compared to the overall market (above 1 = more volatile than market)
Price information
Current price: The most recent trading price of the stock
Previous close: The stock's final trading price from the previous market session
Today's open: The price at which the stock began trading in the current session
Day's range: The lowest and highest prices the stock has traded at during the current trading day
52-week range: The lowest and highest prices the stock has reached over the past year, providing context on longer-term price movement

Once you've researched a stock and decided to invest:
From the Research page of your chosen stock, click the "Add to Portfolio" button
Select an account to add to
Select an existing pie or create a new one
Set your desired allocation percentage
Confirm your selection
