For existing account holders: How to add funds

You can continue to fund your existing M1 High-Yield Savings Account in three primary ways: bank transfer (ACH), direct deposit, or wire transfer.

Fund by bank transfer (ACH) – Instantly connect your bank

M1 uses Plaid, a secure third-party service, to connect your external bank account instantly.

Step-by-step:

  1. Log in to your M1 account (web or app).

  2. Go to the Home tab.

  3. Select your bank next to Move Money.

  4. Select Connect a new bank.

  5. Follow Plaid’s prompts to connect your external account securely.

  6. Enter your deposit amount and confirm.

  • Daily ACH transfer limit: $120,000

  • Transfer timing: ACH transfers usually post in 2–4 business days.

M1 and Plaid never store your online banking credentials. You can change your connected bank any time.
