When you log in to M1, you may see one or both of the following screens before reaching your home screen: Missing Profile Information and Annual Confirmation.
These screens are designed to keep your financial profile accurate and up to date. You can skip either screen, but it will reappear at your next login until completed.
Missing Profile Information Screen
Why am I seeing the missing information screen?
This screen appears if your account is missing one or more required profile information items. It only shows the information you haven’t provided, and it won’t ask for anything already on file.
Which information may appear on this screen?
Employer
Annual income
Investing goals
Tax filing status
If you’re missing more than one, all missing information will appear on a single screen.
How to dismiss the missing profile information screen:
Complete the information requests and submit. Once completed, this screen won’t appear again. If you skip it, it will return the next time you log in.
Annual Confirmation Screen
What is the annual confirmation screen?
This screen asks you to review your full financial profile and confirm that everything on file is still accurate. It’s a regulatory requirement for M1 to verify client profiles on an annual basis.
Why am I seeing the annual confirmation screen?
This screen appears once you’ve been on the platform for 10 or more months and haven’t confirmed your profile in the past 12 months. After you confirm, the clock resets and you won’t see this screen again for another 10–12 months.
What information is included in my financial profile?
You’ll be able to review and edit the following information before confirming:
Investing goals
Investment experience
Risk tolerance
Time horizon
Liquidity needs
Tax filing status
Annual income
Net worth
Available cash and investments
Employment status
Employer (if employed)

How to dismiss the annual confirmation screen:
Review your information and tap the edit icon next to any field you’d like to update. When everything looks correct, tap Confirm to save your profile and reset the 12-month clock.
If you skip, the screen will return at your next login.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I being asked for my annual income when I’ve had an account for years?
If you joined M1 before 2021, this information wasn’t collected during your original onboarding. We’re gathering it now to keep your profile complete.
Why do I keep seeing the Missing Information screen every time I log in?
The screen reappears if it’s skipped rather than completed. Complete the requested information items to stop seeing the prompt.
Why am I being asked to confirm my information?
Annual Confirmation is required once every 12 months. If it’s been 10 or more months since your last confirmation, the screen will appear again.
Will I ever stop seeing the Annual Confirmation screen?
This is a recurring annual requirement, so it will reappear each year. Completing it each time resets the 12-month clock.
