How is performance calculated?

Calculation

Every "My Pie" quote page will show you the historical performance of the pie over the chosen time period. The chart will always begin with an initial deposit of $100 and will display the value of the basket of securities throughout the time period.

M1 calculates the performance using the weighted-average return of the basket of securities in the pie.

Start Date

The start date of the performance is either the first date of the time period that was chosen or the first trading day of one of the securities, whichever is shorter.

Dividends and Rebalancing

M1 does not rebalance or reinvest the dividends in the performance. The chart only measures the capital gains and expense ratio over the period.
