Manage my external bank connection
Updated this week

Whether this is the first time you’re connecting an external bank to an M1 account, or you want to change your current bank connection, please keep the following in mind:

  • You can only connect one external bank account to your M1 account at a time.

  • You can change your connected bank up to three times a day.

  • M1 connects with almost all US retail banks. However, there are a handful of institutions not supported by M1. If your bank is found on this list, you’ll need to connect a different one.

  • You can only connect a checking or savings account to M1. You cannot connect a trust account or another brokerage account as your external bank.

  • You won’t be able to establish a bank connection until your email is verified. To verify your email, check to see if you received a verification email from M1 and click the link.

  • If you run into trouble connecting your bank on Web, please disable your ad blockers and try again.
