What is the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1?

The Owner’s Rewards Card by M1 is a credit card that allows you to earn extra rewards at qualifying brands. The rewards you earn can be automatically invested in your eligible M1 Invest Account.

Owner’s Rewards cannot be paid out to an M1 Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, Trust Account or Custodial Account.

What are Owner’s Rewards?

Owner’s Rewards are cash back rewards for purchases at qualifying brands. They will fall under one of three rewards tiers: 10%* cash back, 5% cash back, or 2.5% cash back. Other purchases made with the Owner’s Rewards Card will earn the standard 1.5% cash back.

*2.5% – 10% Owner’s Rewards cash back is earned on qualifying purchases based on M1’s rewards tiers that can be found here. All Standard Reward purchases receive 1.5% cash back. Owners Rewards and Standard Rewards are subject to a maximum of $200 cash back in aggregate per calendar month. Exclusions may apply. See Rewards Terms for additional information and exclusions.

What happens with my Owner's Rewards?

Your rewards will be automatically invested in the qualifying M1 Invest Account of your choice.

Owner’s Rewards cannot be paid out to an M1 Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, Trust Account or Custodial Account.

Roadside Dispatch: This is a pay-per-use roadside assistance program; available 24x7; Roadside Dispatch will ask you where you are, what the problem is, and will remain on the phone while arranging a dispatch to a reliable tow operator or locksmith — you pay a set price per service call. Certain limitations, terms and conditions apply.

Travel & emergency assistance services: You’ll have 24/7 access to multilingual representatives who can answer questions that may arise and provide referrals to various services when traveling anywhere in the world, such as medical referral assistance, emergency transportation service and lost luggage assistance. Cardholder Inquiry Service: Take full advantage of your unique benefits with personalized support from Visa Signature card benefits experts.

Zero Liability Policy: With Visa’s Zero Liability Policy, you won’t be held responsible for unauthorized transactions made with your Visa card. You’re covered if your card is ever lost, stolen or fraudulently used.

Emergency Card Replacement: Visa can work with your bank to expedite the replacement of your card and ship it globally within 24 to 72 hours.

Emergency Cash Disbursement: In case of emergency, we can arrange a wire cash transfer to your local Western Union within 2 hours of approval from your bank.

Lost/Stolen Card Reporting: Call your Visa card issuer or Visa Global Customer Care Services at 1-800-847-2911, or call one of our global toll-free numbers and a Visa representative will work with you to notify the appropriate parties and replace your card.

Who is eligible to apply for the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1?

To be eligible to apply for the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1, you must:

  1. Have an open M1 Invest Account.

  2. Have an address that is in one of the 50 US states. US territories are not supported at this time.

What is the annual fee for the Owner's Rewards Card by M1?

The Owner's Rewards Card by M1 has no card fee.

Will you run a credit check when I apply?

When you apply for the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1, a soft credit report is pulled to determine if you’re eligible. Soft credit report checks do not affect your credit score.

If you’re provisionally approved and accept your offer, a hard credit inquiry through Experian will be run. This hard check can affect your credit score.

Will my Owner’s Rewards Card by M1 account be reported to any credit bureaus?

Yes, your Owner’s Rewards Card by M1 account will be reported to TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.

A report of your account will be sent to TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax monthly.

How do I apply for the Owner's Rewards Card by M1?

To be eligible to apply for the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1, you must:

  1. Have an active M1 Invest Account.

  2. Have an address located in one of the 50 US states. US territories are not supported at this time.

If you meet the application eligibility, follow these steps to apply:

  1. Navigate to the “Spend” tab

  2. Select “Apply now”

  3. Follow the prompts

Some of your personal information will be pre-filled using your current account information.

If this information is incorrect, please select “Update Profile Information” to make sure your profile is updated before you continue with the application.

If you’re provisionally approved

You can read the terms of the offer and accept or decline.

If you were denied

You can apply again at a later date which will be displayed on-screen.

If you aren’t provisionally approved

Please follow prompts to submit additional documents needed to complete the application process. Your application will remain pending until a decision is made.

The manual review process typically takes two business days but can take up to 30 days.

Why was my application rejected?

There are a number of reasons why applications are rejected. If you’re rejected, the rejection reason will be sent directly to the email you have on file with M1.

How do I activate my Owner's Rewards Card by M1?

To active your Owner's Rewards Card by M1:

  1. Navigate to the “Spend” tab

  2. Select “Manage Card”

  3. Select “Activate Card”

  4. Enter the last four digits of your new card number.

  1. Scan the QR code on your card’s packaging.

  2. Enter the last four digits of your new card number.

Is there a daily spending limit or a card swipe limit?

No, there are no daily spending limits with the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1 other than your credit limit.

Can I transfer an existing credit card balance to my Owner’s Rewards Card by M1?

No, balance transfers are not currently supported by the Owner’s Rewards Card by M1.
