The ‘Move Money’ button under the ‘Home’ tab is where you’ll find the option to create different types of transfers.
Standard M1 clients
- Create a one-time transfer by using the ‘One-time Transfer’ tab.
- The ‘Recurring Transfers’ tab allows you to automate your transfers on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule. See a step-by-step guide for creating recurring transfers.
- Use the ‘Direct Deposit’ tab to find your M1 Checking Account and routing number. You can to set up direct deposit to get your paycheck automatically deposited into your M1 Checking Account up to two days earlier than your payroll date*. This option is exclusively available for users enrolled in M1 Checking.
- Have an account at another brokerage? Use the ‘Account Transfer’ tab to learn how to initiate an account transfer. You can also refer to our Help Center for more information on that process.
*early direct deposit is dependent on your payroll provider.
M1 Plus members

- M1 Plus members can use the ‘Smart Transfer’ tab to sweep excess cash between accounts.

- Send Check is M1's check-writing feature that allows you to send money and pay bills through your M1 Checking Account.
- Use the ‘Direct Deposit’ tab to find your M1 Checking Account and routing number. You can to set up direct deposit to get your paycheck automatically deposited into your M1 Checking Account up to two days earlier than your payroll date*. This option is exclusively available for users enrolled in M1 Checking.

Pending transfers
M1 only allows for a single pending transfer at a time.
Until a transfer request is completed or canceled, you won’t be able to create a new deposit or withdrawal.
