To cover the Platform Fee
If the platform fee is charged to an Investment Account with less than $3 available in its cash balance, securities may be sold to cover the fee. See our Platform Fee disclosures.

Brokerage accounts on the M1 platform are either fully disclosed to APEX Clearing or cleared through M1 Finance LLC. Please look at your account statement to determine how your account is cleared.
